Flashback Friday

This picture is 3 years old already! I can't even lift one of these boys now, much less two. I know Daddy can handle one easily--not so sure he can reproduce this pose though =) Photobucket

All Dressed Up

Yesterday Kurt and I had the pleasure of seeing two super sweet people get married =) Nathan was a college kid here who joined EMS when Kurt and I were active there. He met Megan who was an Xray tech at our local hospital and those two crazy kids fell in love and got married yesterday =)
He went and graduated, got a "real" job and moved a couple of hours away. They got married "here" though so we got to spend their special day with them without the hassle of travel--HA!
It meant we "got" (Kurt never LOVES wearing a tie!) to dress up and spend an evening without our adorable moppets--and yes, we enjoyed it...

Flashback Friday!

OK, today's FBF is more like flashes OF backs, LOL!! We did family pictures last night and while Grandpa shot REAL pictures, I (and Kurt, those coming later) did some shutter-clicking of our own.
Three of my favorite guys =)

Schoolhouse Rock!

As part of the Heartland Fesitival this year, one of the shows being done is Schoolhouse Rock Live Jr. We took the big kids several years ago and now its the little boys turn!! The pics I took we're before the show (none allowed during!). The boys did seem to enjoy it, although Beckett announced loudly about halfway through that he was ready to go home!!

Flashback Friday!

When I was finding a few pictures to use for Parker's FBF last week, I came across this one of my beloved hubby and my close girlfriend. It was taken at a mass casualty drill probably about 10 years ago. He hasn't seen this one in awhile, I don't believe. He will though. He reads here =)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KURT!!!

My wonderful, loving husband turns 40 today =) I could gush and carry on about how much I love him for a million and one reasons, but ya'll would go into sugar shock, so just imagine it and then kick it up a few more notches!!!

Backyard Fun Time

Kurt took the boys outside yesterday for some time out in the snow. They are always wanting to go out, but 98% of the time it is just too cold to do it =( Paxton gets to play outdoors at recess during school, but Beckett gets the shaft--not that he realizes it though, HA! As we get closer to Spring and it gets warmer, they will get out more--maybe even over to Miner's field for a little more of a hill than our backyard offers, but we are not at all ready for "killer hill" over on campus!
The fun saucers the boys got last year for Xmas (thanks Aunt Mary Lou!) are still a big hit and lightweight enough that they can carry them by themselves!!
AND, I want you all to know, I actually stood out there and took a ton of pictures, none of this "shoot through a window in order to keep the tootsies warm" business that I am so well known for =)

Cute couple, out on the town!

OK, none of the above is true. Friday night was my office Xmas party and as a good blogger always does, my trusty camera was in my purse. This was taken by a coworker =) We had a nice time!!

10 years of service!

Saturday night was the annual Fire Department's holiday party. There is a nice meal, entertainment, tons of door prizes (no, we did not win the Wii or 32" flat screen) and awards given out. This year marked Kurt's 10'th year as a member of PFD. I didn't realize he was at that mark yet, or we would've/could've sat closer to the front so I'd have a better picture! (My Canon A630 is always at the ready, I don't haul my nice DSLR everywhere I go =) Congrats, honey!!!!

Wordless Wednesday...

Cuz I love him so...

Uh-Oh!! It's the FUZZ!!!

THIS guy came wandering into view as the boys played yesterday. Our park of choice pretty much adjoins campus, so we got a little company =) Lucky us!!!

Quasi Camping

After the train experience, we went back to the campsite for dinner. Everyone got the treat of smoke in the face and smores, so for now, this will scratch the camping itch! Except for Parker and Cameron, who sat in the a/c playing poker...

PFD Family Picnic

Each year, the fire department holds a picnic for the volunteers that serve the community and their families. Since Kurt is a member, we try to make it each year (hasn't always happened though!) They have kids games, rides on a truck, a waterslide, bingo for the adults and a yummy meal. Beckett played a duck game and Paxton did ring toss (and scored on his practice shot!) and balloon pop. The guys in charge of buying prizes do a great job--very age appropriate and a high enough quality to last beyond making it out of the park. Here are some random shots of the day before the passing storms ended it for us...
