Flashback Friday!

All about Paxton today! Our little Buckethead turns 7 next week!! We're having his party on Sunday, but in the meantime you get to look back at some photos of when he was smaller. He is around a year old in all of these.

Truthful Thursday--Continued....

This past weekend I tackled the nook/closet where the supplies for my hobby of card-making are kept. I used to keep everything in blue Crop-in-Style totes and bags and would have to dig it ALL out when I was bitten by the creativity bug. A trip to Wal-Mart recently found me in the office supply section and I saw a whole aisle of these organizing pieces. Cubes, drawers, trays, bins, file holders and more. In fun colors too!! I loaded up my cart (leaving room for Beckett to still have the ability to see out) and dove in head first!
There was very little tossing here--I'm pretty careful about the supplies I do buy since my space for them has always been limited. I LURVE the way it looks and to celebrate I made progress on another resolution which was to do a lot more SENDING of these creative gems that I make--HA!! I mailed out 9 of them last night--who doesn't enjoy a bit of snail mail without a return envelope enclosed?
Now, back to working on my closet!!!

Sunday: Roast beef with garlic cloves tucked in, mashed taters, veggie

Some New Cards

The weather was absolute pants here today--cold, windy, rainy--just all around poopy! So since I spent yesterday reorganizing my card making supplies I had the urge to make me some cards today. I didn't pull EVERYTHING out, so no heat-embossing or cuttlebugging, I kept it pretty simple really. Here are a few of what I came up with

New tooth fairy pillows!

My Aunt Marlene made the boys these adorable pillows to be used on nights that the Tooth Fairy is going to make an apperance. And the very night that these hit the house, Paxton needed his!! All I could get was absolute CHEESE for pictures--shown to you above in all their glory--HA!

Flashback Friday!

Would ya'll believe me if I told you there was a little photoshop magic happening in the photo above? Like that is a shot of my from about 2 years ago and one of Arielle from about 12 years ago? No? Then I will leave it up to you to decide if this picture is 2 or 12 years old =)

It's not ALWAYS roses and sunshine.....

I'm sure you thought that it was. This is not a blog that is filled with nothing but children who are always well-behaved, fresh from the tub clean in matching clothes (much to Kurt's relief---HA!) and you may have noticed that sometimes when I snap a pic of one of those perfect children, there is a ginormous mess in the background. Yup, we're that family!!
Case in point--the other night when I got home from work, Kurt was getting ready to grill out and the boys were playing in the backyard, so I thought I would take some pictures. By the time I got the camera and was back outside, we were already on the slip and slide to fights-ville. Paxton is VERY tolerant of the shenanigans that Beckett likes to create. He's far nicer to Beckett than he deserves sometimes!! On this night, Paxton wanted to pull the wagon up the small hill in the yard and Beckett was insistant that he be inside and enjoy the trip up. Paxton did not want that. He dumped Beckett out twice (Beckett was ready to hop right back in as soon as Paxton righted the wagon), moved into Drama Llama mode quickly and finally took the handle of the wagon and bonked Beckett on the head several times. Oy!

We are moving into busy time here! Parker's golf meets have started and I like to get them whenever I can--which means that supper's get a little out of whack--HA! I still try not to resort to receiving dinner through the drivers side window though =)

More crafty fun on the cheap!

So from my moss-balls project, I had several of my Dollar Tree whiffle balls left over. I've seen these twine balls all over blog-land, and being the classic lemming that I am, I had to have some of my own =) The twine was a bit pricey for an el-cheapo like myself, but I've got a lot of that leftover now too.
I plopped them into one of my empty apothecary jars and am LOVING the look! A little time-consuming, but SO worth it!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KURT!!!

My wonderful, loving husband turns 40 today =) I could gush and carry on about how much I love him for a million and one reasons, but ya'll would go into sugar shock, so just imagine it and then kick it up a few more notches!!!

Flashback Friday!

Another little Beckett flashback moment. You can tell when I get a little pressed for time--Beckett is my baby born in the midst of the digital age, thus more pics exsist of him in this media than the other kiddos. I get old pictures scanned in when I can, but when I move into slacker mode, out comes one of the child we fondly refer to as "goof nut".

The return of PHS Golf

I know how ya'll have ANXIOUSLY awaiting my first PHS golf post of 2010. Well, wait no more--today was the first meet of the season. Almost. They got through 3 holes before lightning made an appearance and put an end to the event (no worries, there's a reschedule date). Contrary to what Wimpy seems to be saying by hiding his face with his hand (so not posed, BTW!!), he was off to a great start =)

Mr Clean--the shorter version....

A new toy, in Paxton's eyes anyway! A Shark steam mop thing-y has made itself in this house and not only me enjoys using it =) He's even got how to fill it all figured out! He tends to focus on one area for an extended period of time, but it keeps him entertained AND I get a cleam floor out of it, so who am I to complain--HA!!

Last week ended up being a little jumbled with a wake/visitation and a delayed tank swap out for thr grill, but we did end up having all of the meals I planned for!! Maybe this week will be a better one for staying on task!!

Phil Phan!!

What a geek I've become! I actually have the Masters final round on TV right now!! No, not to tune in to Tiger and his "triumphant return" to the sport, but because I happen to like Phil Mickelson. And as I post this, he is one stroke out of the lead and the man IN the lead had a really lousy drive--HA! In 5 hours we'll know how it all turns out!!
I think he's a classy athlete in the "gentleman's" game, and I'm sweet on his dimple--big fan of those, ask Paxton!!
I had to look for some older pictures of Lefty--because I think he needs a haircut, come on, Amy--talk him into one =)
