Mr. Independence

Well, HE thinks so anyway. Wherever Beckett can move a kitchen barstool to, he thinks he's pretty cool. He can start a movie, reach the light in the pantry, get his own cookie or--root through the cabinet where the snacks are in order to help himself, as witnessed here. Keep a count on your stools when Beckett is in your house. I'm just saying...

HE thinks it's comfortable

I guess. This is Paxton's usual position for sleep--his little head smushed up against the side rail of his bunkbed. Makes it easy for me to smooch his little face, but it still doesn't look like it's all that comfortable!

HE thinks it

So Pooped...

he could hardly hold his head up! Beckett built his road with a ramp, which worked out perfectly to rest his head on while he drove his cars up and down.

He DOES have a bed--honest!

As I'm sitting at the computer doing some homework for my online class, I hear "Goodnight, Mom". And I turn around to this--Beckett covered up with the area rug ready for a snooze. There's got to be a more comfortable place to lay in place of a hardwood floor, but I'm only his Mom, what do I know?

Popeye Celebrates 100 Days!

Errr, I mean Paxton! But he does look a little like Popeye with the pipe/horn thing going on. There have been 100 days of Kindergarten as of today--which means a celebration was in order. The kids brought a "collection" of 100 items, Paxton's was cheerios =) Beckett insists on grabbing the horn and trying to hide it under things in the house. Mom's about ready to stop stopping him...

Mail Call!

One of the original details of our Cape Cod home is a space where the mail carrier drops the mail through a slot on the outside of the house and it falls into this enclosed little closet inside the house. It's a healthy-sized space--mail could pile up there for weeks and weeks! Beckett likes to hang out in there, just like this...
