Two Girls and a Beckett....

Today Beckett and I met up with two little girls from our "board". Those of you who know me in real life have undoubtedly heard me say at one time or another "one of the girls from tag" or "a Momma on Beckett's board". These are a group of little ones all born in October of 2005 and their Mommy's. Beckett and Sofia have spent quality time together in the past, but we got to meet Elly (and her parents) for the first time today!

The little girls had a blast from the get go--little chatterboxes! Beckett was slower to join in, which mostly consisted of him running circles around the place while the girls sat nicely! Once we plopped him on a wooden ledge, he was all but trapped and we sandwiched him between the girls and got some snaps. From left to right: Elly, Beckett and Sofia.

Saturday Morning Flashback!!!

WAY back when I was a little older than Paxton, I remember watching cartoons on Saturday mornings and in between episodes there were these little educational ditties known as SchoolHouse Rock. LOVED these--I confess, it's how I learned the Preamble to the Constitution as required in the 7th grade

All 42 of the original shorts are available on DVD (what isn't?) and I picked it up at Target the other day. I can tell you that the boys are really enjoying them. Paxton loves the grammer ones (GOOD!) and Chad will be happy to know that they like the American History ones as well =)

Recognize any of these shots? (Suffering for Sufferage, Elementary, My Dear and a Noun is a Person, Place or Thing) 'scuse the fingerprints...

Sometimes it's hard to be Beckett =(

Not sure what he was so sad about, but it was a good thing I was lightening fast with the camera because it blew over in a matter of moments!

Must be a Tuescher...

Who's that behind the camera?! Yup, ALL Tuescher. I don't think Grandpa is ready to move him off of his Fisher-Price to a Nikon, but maybe someday.

A Few New Creations

I made a bunch of new cards this weekend. These are some of my favorites:

What Paxton Doesn't Know...

won't hurt him in Beckett's mind. More sneaking some playing time on big brother's leapfrog...

Doing my part for the Economy!

I treated myself in a major way. After discussing what was out there with my friend I've never met, Sonya (she lives in the little box in front of me, with lots of other Momma's of 3 year olds that I am thrilled to call my friends), this is what I decided on. Of course, a hint of buyers remorse set in and I had to run out to my IL's to get Grandpa's opinion. Suffice to say, he approved and is willing to teach me all sorts of neat tricks for my new toy =) We took a trip to the zoo today and after this post loads, I'm off to do an entry with those pics!

Oh, BTW, Sonya IS a real person--her darling boys have graced the fridge, you don't get anymore real than that =)

Beckett Channeling Sponge Bob

The boys got a SpongeBob SquarePants DVD for Xmas and have enjoyed playing it over and over (their enjoyment, not Kurt's). There is a clip in it where SB has a phone conversation with Patrick that Paxton and Beckett both like to reenact with almost as much animation as the original. Just try to put Beckett's little voice in your head saying "**GASP**, dat is not twue!!"

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

From now on, St. Pat's Day will be the anniversary of Parker's first job offer!! He is officially employed--well, once the pool opens anyway =)

Would YOU Hire This Kid?

Parker has an interview tonight with the city for a position at the pool this summer--not as a lifeguard, sleep easy citizens! Of course, he wouldn't listen to me about prepping: couldn't find his khakis that fit, his Doc Martens were at his dad's and when we went over to pick them up, it was discovered that they didn't fit any longer. Sheeeeeesh. Lets hope he wows them with something other than wardrobe...

Wish him luck!

Our First Campus Trip of the Year...

FINALLY, a day nice enough to take a walk! Wisconsinites have been waiting for this day, and today was it. The boys and I headed out and of course, for them a walk means heading over to campus for some tearing around and swinging in to see Daddy at his office. Beckett checked out Karrmann Library, Paxton beat his brother down the steps of one of the academic buildings and they both had a ball at Kurt's office. Paxton REALLY enjoyed turning on the interview camera when I was sitting in range and waiting for me to discover that he had done it. You'll thank me that no photos exsist of THAT!!
