The rest of the story...

A couple of weeks ago, while eating out the boys each scored a balloon. Yay, right?! Well it was for a while. From Pizza Hut we went to a birthday party. Grandma and Papa were already there and the boys wanted to take their helium balloons in to show them. Keep in mind that this party was taking place in an old church that had been converted into a community-type center. Now, most old churches feature high, arched ceilings. This one was no different. We TRIED to tell them the potential perils involved when you combine helium-filled latex with small boys and factor in incredibly high ceilings. Nope, they WOULDN'T let go of them. They WOULD be very careful with them. They WOULDN'T cry if they got away.
Fast forward 5 minutes: we are sitting inside near Grandma and Papa, balloons have been properly admired. Jump ahead about 90 more seconds: I hear Paxton sobbing and as I turn to look at what I already know happened, I see Beckett's head at a 90 degree angle to his torso.
Now some might think it was heartless of a Momma to whip out her Canon and start firing pictures, BUT--Momma is a blogger AND they were told countless times that this would be the outcome, so even though I was sad that Paxton was sad, I kept shooting =)

Bwahahahaha!!! Oh, I can't believe this didn't make it WORSE! The picture-taking amongst the tears, that is. It's bad enough to have Mama say "I told you so" but to have her taking pictures while she's doing it?? You're heartless, Colleen! But I totally dig it. Just save up for Paxton's therapy bills later. Hehehehehe....

Everybody has to experiment at least once with a helium balloon, no? Poor kiddo!
